Sadi KÜNDÜROĞLU
Researcher, Consultant & Public Servant
Born in 1967, he was raised in Turkey, Macedonia, Poland and United States as a diplomat’s son. His college education began in the Political Science Faculty in Ankara, continued in Pace University, NY and received his Bachelors degree in Political Science from Hunter College, New York.
During his stay in New York from 1986 to 1996, he was extensively involved in the activities of the Federation of Turkish American Associations both socially and professionally. In 1989 he founded a computer consultancy firm and did freelance work. However, he also proudly tells stories of his college years, when he drove a taxi, did paralegal work, became a salesperson, organized entertainment events and etc.
Upon his return to Turkey in 1996 he started consulting small size manufacturers in enhancing their products and international sales channels. Over 6 years he freelanced and worked in different sectors like gift products, automotive accessories, medical products and etc. He also managed a chain of pipe cafés in Ankara, and developed a strategy for the company to become a franchise, which later failed!
He started his new career path, created by circumstances, in 2005 as a parliamentary advisor in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. In 2009, as a civil servant, he served as Private Secretary to the Minister of State, Private Secretary to the Ministry of EU Affairs and Chief Advisor. After his provincial duty in Antalya, he was appointed as the Head of Department at the General Directorate of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He currently continues to work as a civil servant at the EU Presidency.
Sadi Kündüroğlu, the proud father of Sude, born in 2002, who is also a Cancer, defines himself as a “moderate pragmatic” personality and believes that intercultural communication is part of the solution to the problems of future business and society models. Occasionally he lectures on subjects like “Pragmatic Approaches for Entrepreneurs” and “Intercultural Communication for for SME’s”.
